Sickle cell disease continues to impact thousands of families, especially within the Black community. Awareness alone isn’t enough we need action.
On September 26, you’ll have the opportunity to receive a FREE cheek swab and join a global donor registry through our donor registry partner DKMS
It takes about one minute.
That simple swab could identify you as the life-saving genetic match someone with sickle cell disease or certain blood cancers has been desperately waiting for.
For many people living with sickle cell disease, a bone marrow (blood stem cell) transplant may offer the possibility of a cure, and more registered donors mean more opportunities for patients to find a matching donor.
Every new person who joins the registry brings hope to another family. One minute could save a lifetime.

This year’s event marks an exciting new chapter through our partnership with DKMS, the world’s largest STEM CELL DONOR CENTER
If you are between the age of 18Y-55Y Please stop by the DONOR STATION or mini kiosk that will be set up at the lanes for free donor swabbing, more information and registration
Together, we are working to build a more diverse donor registry so that every patient in need of a life-saving stem cell transplant has a greater chance of finding a matching donor.
With Operations Spanning the GLOBE, DKMS has connected countless patients with donors, giving individuals facing blood cancers and other life-threatening blood disorders the possibility of a second chance at life.
