2 Saturdays, June 6 and 20, 6-8pm Songs to Hold Us - Summer Taught by Pamela Draper, 18+ “Songs That Hold Us” is a supportive group workshop that uses singing, breathwork, and simple harmony to promote grounding and self-care. Participants will engage in guided mindfulness experiences, reflective prompts, collaborative vocal exercises, song-learning and more, all designed to ease stress, build connection, and nurture emotional well-being. Comfortability singing with others is a plus, but no formal music training is required. Instructor Bio: Pamela Draper is a board-certified music therapist and nonprofit arts leader based in Newark, Delaware. She serves as Executive Director of the Newark Arts Alliance and is the founder of Woven in Song Music & Wellness, where she uses intentional music, learning, and reflection experiences to support healing and growth. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music from West Chester University in 2005, Pamela went on to Temple University to complete a Master’s degree in Music Therapy in 2013. She has provided individual and group music therapy in inpatient psychiatric settings, substance use treatment programs, schools, outpatient clinics, and long-term care settings. Woven in Song Music & Wellness centers on the belief that community music helps weave deeper meaning and stronger connections within and among us. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class.
