Sabine’s incredible jewelry has sparked delight in the shop and we’re so pleased to welcome her for this special class. Please note that this class is open to beginners, but it will be especially useful to artists already engaged in jewelry making or another related craft. You'll master the art of simple wire weaving techniques, creating beautiful rings, earrings and crafting simple wire bezels for stone pendants. A $15 material fee is included in the price of the class, which covers premium wiring, hardware and beads. All tools will be provided for your use. All you need to bring is persistence, patience, and plenty of creativity! The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Instructor Bio: "After retiring from teaching social anthropology and German, I reconnected with my creative side. Having discovered a love of beads while living in New Mexico, I took up wire wrapping during the pandemic and began combining it with beaded jewelry to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Many of the gems I work with were gathered on my travels through Asia, Europe, and Australia, each one a reminder of the journey that brought it home."
