4 Thursdays, October 8 - 29, 3:30 - 5:00 pm Frankenstein Flannels - Customize Your Clothes! Taught by Sabrina Hubert We’ll be exploring ways to monster mash up your wardrobe to express your spirit. Focusing on hand embroidery, custom patches, pin back buttons, and ways to add unconventional objects. This will be a claws on, multi day class. Bare bones basic hand sewing experience preferred but not required. Students will provide their own clothing item to apply the work to- preferably a flannel jacket. Also, any patches, buttons, thread/floss, items that the student owns and would prefer to apply to the clothing other than what will be provided. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Sabrina is a local artist and Halloween lover. They enjoy adorning their clothing with custom nods to what inspires them. Crafts of their cloth crypt include hand embroidery, linocut print patches, buttons, pins, and transformed found objects.
