1 Saturday , March 7, 12:00 - 3:00 pm Emotional Support Turtle - Mandala Painting Taught by Monica Eberle, +12 $44 Member / $48 Non-member Come join us in creating your very own Emotional Support Turtle! This fun art class combines Pointillism and Mandala art techniques in a meditative, relaxing and exciting art experience. Don't worry if you don't consider yourself an artist - this is a beginner level class. We will go through the basic techniques and use them to create the cutest little turtle using an easy Mandala pattern. Each attendee will create one special little turtle and have the opportunity to pick from several color palettes. Tip: Don't wear loose sleeves and bring your readers if you need them! The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Monica - aka Moni of MoniGrams - began MoniGrams in 2020, combining Pointillism and Mandala painting into her own zany style, transforming the meditative art forms into playful, hands-on classes. Moni's mash up of the art forms are applied to fun molded forms, making the process approachable and allowing each student to enjoy the process which is simultaneously relaxing and energizing. Students are empowered to create their own unique works of art, with hands on support and instruction along the way, learning new skills, exploring colors and patterns and leaving with a piece that is truly their own.
