Bring your materials and patterns to this drop-in Sewing Lab and receive personalized 1:1 support from a skilled instructor with nearly 50 years of experience! Perfect for garments, home décor like curtains and pillows, toys, and more. (Please note: quilting and embroidery projects are not recommended, but you can communicate with the teacher in advance if you have questions.)  The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Jodi knew by the age of five that she wanted to be an artist. Recently, a member of NYC’s fiber arts community commissioned Jodi to weave a tapestry of Pearl Chin, who started the business Knitty City on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. A shot of this work appears in an award-winning film, “Summer At Knitty City.” She sold her first tapestry, “Medusa”, to a curious art lover on Facebook.
