1 Saturday, July 18, 4:00 - 6:00 pm Introduction to Paper Quilling Taught by Florence Chen, 15+ Discover the delicate and meditative art of paper quilling in this beginner-friendly workshop. Students will learn the basic techniques of rolling, shaping, and assembling paper strips to create a colorful butterfly design. By the end of the class, each participant will leave with a finished butterfly piece ready to frame or gift. No prior experience is required. All materials will be provided. The Newark Arts Alliance will retain a $5 cancellation fee if a student withdraws from a class. Florence Chen is a mixed-media artist whose studio practice focuses on paper quilling. Through her studio, Trixie’s Creations, she creates playful and reflective works inspired by everyday moments. Florence enjoys introducing others to the art of paper quilling and guiding beginners through the satisfying process of transforming simple paper strips into beautiful designs.
