About this event
Reflective practice is a foundational leadership skill that supports continuous learning, self-awareness, and professional growth in nursing leadership. This e-learning module, Reflective Practice: A Cornerstone of Effective Leadership, introduces learners to the principles and benefits of reflecting on experience to enhance decision-making, strengthen relationships, and promote ethical and resilient leadership. Participants will explore how reflective practice contributes to innovation and improved leadership effectiveness while identifying common barriers faced at different stages of a leadership career. The course also provides practical strategies for integrating reflection into daily leadership routines. Designed for nurse leaders at all levels, this module supports the development of intentional, reflective, and adaptive leadership practices. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete both the Nurse Leader pre-assessment and post-assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 1.25 ANCC contact hours.
