About this event
Accountability is a foundational element of nursing leadership and a key driver of safe, ethical, and high-quality patient care. This e-learning module, Leading with Integrity: Accountability as a Foundation for Nursing Excellence, explores the principles of personal and professional accountability and their role in strengthening leadership effectiveness across all levels of practice. Learners will examine how ethical, legal, and organizational standards guide decision-making and support patient safety and team performance. The course also focuses on strategies for fostering a culture of accountability through communication, role modeling, and constructive feedback. Designed for nurse leaders in diverse roles, this module supports the development of practical tools and a personalized action plan to enhance accountability and drive continuous improvement. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete both the Nurse Leader pre-assessment and post-assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 0.75 ANCC contact hours.
