Strong relationship management is essential for nurse leaders navigating complex, high-stakes healthcare environments. This e-learning module, People First: Relationship Management for Nurse Leaders, focuses on building the interpersonal and communication skills needed to foster collaboration, trust, and resilience across teams. Learners will explore key relationship management competencies, examine common communication challenges, and analyze real-world scenarios that reflect the realities of clinical leadership. The course also encourages reflection on personal communication styles and leadership approaches to strengthen effectiveness in stakeholder engagement. Designed for nurse leaders at all levels, this module enhances the ability to build strong professional relationships that support high-performing teams and improved patient outcomes. Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. To earn continuing education credit, participants must complete both the Nurse Leader pre-assessment and post-assessment. Upon successful completion, learners will be awarded 1.25 ANCC contact hours.
