Scenic Virginia has developed a first-of-its-kind, scientifically vetted Treasured Views platform. This program is made up of a scenic views registry which engages the public in recognizing Virginia’s most cherished views and vistas benefiting both rural and urban communities.Scenic Virginia created a reproducible format for evaluating a viewshed's scenic quality, enabling community organizations to engage and identify their Treasured Views. The goal is to reach out across the state and remind citizens that the state has scenic places that should be recognized and shared.
