About this event
Instructor Victoria Eastman Show it in Words is an opportunity to enhance your writing with the goal of communicating your experience as you write poetry and allows readers to empathize with characters in your short stories. If your aim is to share your news in a letter to family members or friends, this class will guide you toward descriptions that will make them wish they had been there with you. Anyone who is interested in writing is very welcome to participate in this class. Please bring your notebook and writing utensil OR an iPad/tablet. Victoria Eastman is an experienced classroom teacher and adult education instructor. She has poetry, fiction, and non-fiction writing experience. This includes publication in literary journals, writing press releases, articles for blogs, and as a co-editor of Milo, Brownville, and Lake View, an Arcadia publication for its Images of America series. She has researched and written two books, Collecting Ghosts and Following Ghosts. Presently, she is working on a third book in this series. She has taught creative writing for youth and adults and has established writing groups in Dover Foxcroft and Milo, Maine.
