Pickleball Open Doubles 2.5 League | Recreation Level

This recreation open doubles (2-player team) pickleball league is designed for 2.5 level players who are looking for organized, fun, competition in a welcoming environment.

This league is NOT for beginners who have never played before - players should feel comfortable with basic strategy, sustaining rallies, serving consistently, and playing full games at a steady pace. While matches are competitive, this league is not intended for highly advanced, overly competitive, or tournament-level players.

While we list the level as 2.5, the skill will vary between the 2.25 and 2.75.

Register With Your Doubles Partner!

Players will compete as a doubles TEAM throughout the season. Each team will have 2 primary players and may have up to 2 additional substitute players, for a maximum roster of 4.

The "OPEN" in Open Doubles, means teams may consist of any gender at the 2.5 level. ex) 2 guys, 2 girls, 1 guy + 1 girl.

When you register, you will be asked to provide a Team Name, be creative and fun! We also ask you provide your main partners name. Once registered we will get all players (up to 4) invited in the Pickleheads app at week 1.

League Highlights:

• Skill level: Recreation 2.5
• Format: Open Doubles Team League
• Team Roster: 2 primary players + up to 2 substitute players
• Teams will have scheduled opponents each week
• Doubleheaders against 3 different teams each week
• Games played to 11, win by 1
• 6 scored games per team each week
• Optional open play at the end of each session (time permitting)
• Schedule: Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 PM
• Location: Multi-Use Courts 13, 14, 15 at the Mesa Tennis & Pickleball Center
• Self-scored games with staff on site to assist
• The PICKLEHEADS app will be used for schedules, rosters, scoring, and standings
• League capacity: 12 teams
• Weather makeups added to end of the season if needed
