Description

Join us as we head to Rockford, IL, where we will explore the Anderson Japanese Gardens that will inspire your mind and energize your soul. We will have a guided tour that will include 1 1/4 mile of walking through elegant pathways complete with streams, waterfalls, and Koi filled ponds. There will be benches along the tour, or a shorter, flat path optional tour if preferred. We will have a buffet lunch at the Stockholm Inn which includes Swedish Meatballs, baked chicken, salad, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert. After lunch we are headed to the Tinker Swiss Cottage for a tour of this 3-story Swiss mansion from 1865 that is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Please note that this house is not ADA compliant. We will end our day with a stop at Zammuto's for an on your own treat - they are famous for Granitas, a blend of Italian Ice and Sorbet. Register by May 18.
