Inspired by Milton Bradley’s belief that play should educate as well as entertain, this six-week enrichment class uses classic and modern thinking games to build critical skills through joyful play. Students will explore how strategy, language, creativity, and problem-solving come together through three iconic games. Each game will be studied and played for two weeks, allowing students time to learn rules, develop strategies, and reflect on their thinking. Game Focus & Benefits Tetris (Weeks 1–2) Students develop spatial reasoning, problem-solving, focus, and planning skills by rotating and fitting shapes under time pressure. Tetris strengthens visual-spatial thinking, closely tied to math and STEM success. Scrabble (Weeks 3–4) Scrabble builds vocabulary, spelling, strategic thinking, and mental math. Students learn to evaluate word choices, plan ahead, and think flexibly while strengthening language confidence. Pictionary (Weeks 5–6) Pictionary promotes creative thinking, communication, teamwork, and visual literacy. Students practice expressing ideas clearly and interpreting meaning through images, supporting diverse learning styles.
