Hillwood Museum, Washington, D.C.
Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 8:00am-5:00pm


SIA trip costs include transportation, meal, and entry tickets as applicable. A bus will be provided to and from McLean Community Center to the trip location. Upon registration, members will receive additional information and ongoing updates regarding the itinerary, menu options, and maps/location information.

Accessibility Considerations: Visiting Hillwood Museum entails navigating to and from the bus at the Community Center and the drop-off location. The bus route to/from the site is usually less than 1 hour, traffic dependent. There may be up to .15 miles of traveling to and from the bus to the site. It takes approximately 1 hour of travel to view the house, guided by a docent. A secondary, optional tour of the gardens will follow this house tour, and this is also 1 hour of navigation. There are benches in all areas, and all areas are wheelchair accessible with the exception of the greenhouse, French parterre, Japanese-style garden, pavilion, Marjorie Post's bedroom suite, and second floor gallery with entail stairs. Photographs of these areas are available upon request.
