The Weekend Learn-to-Row program operates on Saturdays from 9:00-11:00am and is designed for athletes with NO sculling experience (either no rowing experience or those who have only done sweep rowing). Athletes will learn the basic rowing motion in stable environments such as the rowing machine and dock box and then quickly progress to more advanced settings such as tubby single sculls and team boats such as doubles or quads. Our goal is to provide clear, supportive instruction while allowing athletes to explore boat moving in a way that only sculling (two oars, small boats) can present. For athletes who cannot make this session, private lessons are a viable alternative to launch their rowing journey.
