Explore the colorful art of Nerikomi, a ceramic technique that creates beautiful patterns by layering and combining different colored clays. Students will learn how to prepare colored clay, create patterned slabs, and build unique functional and decorative pieces. Through guided projects and demonstrations, you'll discover techniques that produce one-of-a-kind designs running throughout the clay itself. Advanced Projects is a five-week intensive designed for intermediate to advanced ceramicists, focusing on skill development through specialized techniques, creative exploration, and advanced applications; prior ceramics experience is required for enrollment.
