Designed and led by Katherine Bonus, MA, this class offers a space to revisit key principles in living mindfully. We will reconnect with the principles found in the four foundations of mindfulness, the deepening teachings of compassionate presence, and practices of forgiveness and loving kindness. We will explore moments of receptivity/resistance, stability/chaos, anxiety, joy, anger, tenderness, clarity and “don’t know mind” as precious opportunities for embodied presence, on the cushion and in the midst of everyday life.
Prior basic mindfulness meditation experience (i.e. participation in MBSR or other mindfulness curriculum) is required.
Source materials will include our personal lived experiences as well as offerings from teachers including Pema Chödrön, John Makransky, Sharon Salzberg, and Richard Schwartz. Our class time includes practice, reflections, and group discussions. This provides a rich opportunity to “begin again” and to return to inner wisdom and that which is most essential for each of us.
This twice-monthly class will meet across the span of four months (September-December) - allowing time and space for independent exploration in between class sessions.
This session will follow CDC guidelines and UW Health screenings that are in effect at the time of the class session.
No refunds after September 10, 2026.
