The Getty has just acquired a pair of beautiful oil portraits by Flandrin, a French painter who has been forgotten but was immensely successful at the time. We will look closely at the paintings while talking about this artist, his time period, the sitters and the general context. Your guide will make the reservations but the parking fee will be your responsibility. As there will be a short portion outdoors while we make our way to the gallery, please bring a layer, hat, water. The Getty Center parking opens at 9:30 am.
