About this event

Description

Meet Livermore's fifth-generation ranching family, the 3 Calhoun Sisters, as they share the stories and history of their family legacy of agriculture and conservation on their remote 110-acre Mines Road ranch.

The sisters are award-winning conservationists and proud of their heritage as one of the oldest ranching families in the Tri-Valley. They are the first ranch in the region to be recognized by the National Audubon Society, and continually work to maintain the lush flora and fauna and reintroduce native species to the ranch.
Join us for a humorous and informative trip back in time as you vicariously picture the three little girls growing up during the 60s and 70s in the hills above Livermore. And feel the inspiration of their present-day commitment to being stewards of the diverse ecology of the property in perpetuity. The late renowned Livermore artist, Tilli Calhoun, would be so proud of the "Fields of Gratitude" agricultural role models her little girls have become.
