All are welcome to join our MLK Jr National Day of Service!This Day of Service honors Dr. King's legacy by encouraging Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.Please volunteer with us to beautify our parks and public spaces, specifically focusing on Taft Community Garden and Schooner Creek Discovery Park.Snacks, prizes, water, gloves and hand tools will be provided as we remove invasive plants surrounding the 2 parks, re-stock garden beds, paint (weather permitting) and remove litter.Meet Parks & Rec staff and other volunteers at Taft Community Garden, corner of SE Jetty and Inlet Ave, next to Schooner Creek Discovery Park.Rain or Shine!Registration not required, but appreciated.
