About this event
Instructor: H. Audet Dinacharya - what does this mean? In Sanskrit, "Dina" means daily and "Charya" means following, moving. This daily moving, or daily practice of self-care, helps to establish wellness and health. Ayurveda, the "wisdom of life" is the 5000 year-old medical system of India, recognizes each individual's uniqueness. As we take time to understand who we are and how we function, we can reduce one of the biggest disease instigators of our day - stress. Ayurvedic philosophy believes that this is accomplished through better nutrition, lifestyle choices, daily self-care, and physically moving toxins from the body via the practice of yoga. Join Heidi for an evening of insight and practice into better health and wellness, learning the will art of self-care, the Ayurveda way. She will demonstrate Abhyanga - self-massage and explain a way for achieving daily care based upon your specific Dosha (vita, pitta, or kapha). Balancing snacks and teas will be served. Self-care oils and education handouts included in lab fee. Class will be offered at Chill Yoga, 182 Lisbon Street, Lewiston. Lab Fee $8 paid to instructor.
