"Viking 6 Tactical — Critical Incident Response Training Precision Retention: Rifle ↔ Pistol Transition for the Armed Citizen — Advanced (6 hours) Push your skillset into the next gear. This is an advanced, all-range MSR-to-pistol transition course for the armed citizen who trains with intent, built to teach you smooth, safe, and lightning-fast transitions between rifle and pistol under stress. Course flow • Range Classroom & dry review (brief): Start the day with the fundamentals of safe, efficient rifle-to-pistol and pistol-to-rifle transitions, body position, muzzle management, and gear setup. • All-range, high-tempo training: Move straight into progressive live-fire drills and stress courses that force you to apply transitions while moving, engaging multiple targets, and managing malfunction or reloads on the move. • Scenario-driven stress work: Timed drills, multiple-target arrays, and movement downrange to build realistic, repeatable skills. Requirements & recommendations • Duration: 6 hours, ALL range time • Ammo: Recommended 200 rounds for your MSR (.22/.223/5.56) and 300 rounds for your pistol. • Rifle setup: Slings are mandatory (2-point sling recommended). Course may be run using a CMMG conversion kit (5.56 to .22LR). • Magazines: Minimum 3 AR magazines with a secure way to carry them (pouches, chest rig, etc.). • Pistol gear: OWB holster required; 3 pistol magazines with magazine holders. • Physical demand: This is a physically demanding course, you will be moving up and down lanes, shooting on the move, and working through dynamic positions. • Rentals: Firearms or conversion kits may be available to rent on a first-come basis (confirm ahead if needed).
