During the summer he works as a tour guide/narrator for the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company on the Motor Vessel Thomas Laighton and for Historic New England as tour guide at the Sarah Orne Jewett House in South Berwick, Maine. During the winter, he makes history presentations to retirement communities throughout northern New England and works at various other jobs. He and his wife live in South Berwick, Maine, where he is an active with the South Berwick Conservation Commission.
