This in-person class with Maine’s 2025 Beekeeper of the Year is geared toward beekeepers who already have bees or are getting them soon. We will discuss the journey through a beekeeping season from spring inspections and honey extraction through fall and winter preparation. This is a great opportunity to further your knowledge of beekeeping, ask questions, and increase your odds of success. Joseph Barberi has been a beekeeper for 10 years and has an apiary of 12 hives in Kittery Point. He's a Cornell University Master Beekeeper, a lifetime member of both the Maine State Beekeeping Association and Eastern Apiculture Society. And he was voted 2025 Maine State Beekeeper of the Year.
