Christmas Curling & Dinner for UBCO Students
This Christmas, the Kelowna Curling Club is teaming up with UBCO to host a fun and festive afternoon for students who aren’t able to go home for the holidays! Enjoy games, learn a uniquely Canadian winter sport, and share a warm holiday meal with friends - old and new!
Time:1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Activities (1–5 PM):Head upstairs to the lounge and enjoy games with friends—pool, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, and more!
Learn to Curl (1:30–3:30 PM):Never curled before? You're not alone! Curling is a popular Canadian sport played on ice where players slide stones toward a target and teammates sweep the ice to guide the stone's path. It's easy to learn, social, and lots of fun. Volunteers will be on the ice to help you learn the basics - no experience needed. It is recommended that you dress in clothing that you can comfortably move in with a warm outer layer - a winter jacket and gloves are encouraged as you will be on the ice.
Christmas Turkey Dinner (4 PM):Come together for a special holiday meal featuring a traditional turkey dinner.
