In this engaging, project-based club designed for high school students, participants will strengthen their coding, design, and problem-solving skills while exploring real-world applications of technology. The club will begin with Minecraft Education, where students will use coding, collaboration, and creative design to complete challenges and build interactive projects. As the club progresses, students may also explore MIT Scratch, LEGO Robotics, and other coding, robotics, engineering, and design platforms based on their interests, experience, and progress. Students will have opportunities to work independently and collaboratively, develop original ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and present their projects. The flexible, student-driven curriculum allows participants to build confidence, deepen their technical skills, and pursue areas of technology that interest them most. Families will receive regular updates through ClassDojo. The semester will conclude with a fun Carnival Day featuring unplugged activities and opportunities for students to redeem their hard-earned class points for prizes.
