Students will build foundational coding and technology skills through fun, hands-on projects using MIT Scratch and Scratch Jr. Students are grouped by age to ensure they learn at an appropriate level, with lessons, projects, and coding challenges tailored to their developmental stage and abilities. Throughout the club, students will explore programming concepts, computational thinking, problem-solving, and digital creativity as they design interactive stories, animations, games, and other exciting projects. Students may also gain exposure to additional coding and technology platforms, such as LEGO Robotics and Minecraft Education, providing opportunities to experience coding in different ways. In addition to technical skills, students will strengthen creativity, communication, teamwork, perseverance, and confidence through engaging, project-based learning. ClassDojo will be utilized to provide parents with updates after each class. During the final class, students will celebrate with a Carnival Day featuring unplugged activities and the opportunity to use their earned class points for prizes.
