In this workshop, participants will dive into the fundamentals of dovetail joinery. We'll begin with an introduction to the tools required, followed by step-by-step demonstrations of marking and cutting dovetails. Students will practice cutting their own joints with instructor guidance and receive personalized tips for improving accuracy and fit. By the end of the session, you'll have completed several sample joints and will have built the skills to start incorporating dovetails into your own woodworking projects. All tools and materials are provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a readiness to learn! Students will work on several practice joints in this class. While not much to look at from the layperson’s perspective, you will be personally proud to display these sample joints on your mantel. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
