Join watercolor artist and illustrator, Jo Myers-Walker, to discover the beauty and versatility in watercolor in this inspiring new class designed to help you explore and develop your own artistic style. Beginning with drawing and composition, you'll learn essential techniques like working with light and dark, warm and cool tones, perspective and value, and the power of repeating lines and shapes.
This class will focus on how to draw the figure walking into a landscape. Whether you’re new to watercolor or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a relaxed, creative space to experiment, learn, and grow.
Unwind after a busy Monday and join a cool, creative afternoon at the Senior Center from 3:00PM to 5:00PM. September 14 – November 9, 2026.
Class fee is $150. With a reduced rate of $90 through the ICSC Low Income Membership program.
The instructor will provide one sheet of high-quality 140lb Arches watercolor paper, cut into four 11x14 pieces, and a workbook. A supply list of recommended tube watercolor paints, a water container, and brushes will be provided for participants to purchase on their own. Payment is made directly to the instructor.
