Description
· Explore what independence looks like for you · How to stay in your home as safely as possible · Helpful resources & services, knowing your care partners ahead of time (planning ahead for needs like transportation, home care, etc.)This is an informative class designed to help older adults plan ahead for safety, comfort, and independence. Led by occupational therapist Jordan Zilisch, this session explores what independence means to each individual, strategies for staying at home as safely as possible, and key resources that support aging in place. Participants will also learn how to find and vet trusted care partners, including what questions to ask and red flags to avoid, so they feel confident in their choices. The goal is to empower individuals and families with knowledge and tools to plan proactively and thrive wherever they call home.
