New to sewing or looking to brush up on basics? This class is the perfect place to start. Learn how to use a sewing machine, master essential techniques, and create fun, practical projects including a pillow, tote bag, apron, and sew much more. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and confidence to continue to next level sewing.

Topics Include

  • Intro to machines, threading, winding bobbins, etc.
  • Vocabulary /sewing terms
  • Fabric preparation, pinning and ironing
  • Sewing straight, curved, corners
  • Applying pockets and other embellishments
  • Sewing practice with projects teaching specific skills
