Black and white film photography remains a powerful and relevant artistic medium. Designed for experienced photographers, this advanced course explores refined techniques in film exposure, development, and darkroom printing. Through hands-on work in the darkroom, participants will create expressive prints that showcase the artistry of traditional black and white photography. Prior experience with film photography and darkroom processes is recommended.
Supplies
We provide all the chemistry and have film cameras you can borrow while on site. You will need to buy film, paper and negative sleeves to protect your negatives. These details will be discussed on the first day of class.
