Steel Art Workshop: Learn to Weld!
Welding for future furniture builders and metal artists:Want to create your own furniture and metal art? This workshop will set you up with the basic welding skills needed to begin your metalworking journey.
In this class you will learn the fundamentals of safe and successful steel fabrication, focusing on the processes of assembly and MIG welding. We will cover equipment operation and technique. We may also delve into some grinding and finishing work using power and manual hand tools as well. This class is greatly suited for all levels looking to build welding skills.
Materials, tools, and safety gear will be provided.There may be a 30-minute break, mid-class, as needed.
Students must wear cotton shirt, pants, and closed toe shoes.
No sandals, shorts, or synthetics.
Students must have full vision capabilities, gripping strength with both hands, and adequate hand-eye coordination.
