Explore the world of letterpress printing! Join in on the historical process and learn how to set and print from wood and metal type. Operate a hand-turned press to create cards, invitations, signs, or posters as unique as they are beautiful!Topics Covered
Students will learn all about dingbats, furniture, reglets, spacing, leading, chases, and quoins. Students will become familiar with basic printing terms, tools, and mechanics of letterpress. Discussions will include the history and culture context of letterpress printing. Instruction will include lectures, demonstrations, and individual guidance from the instructor.
