Explore the rich traditions of intaglio printmaking in this introductory class. Students will learn the fundamentals of creating images by incising lines and textures into copper, plastic and recycled plates, then transferring those images to paper using our etching presses. Through demonstrations and guided projects, participants will be introduced to techniques such as drypoint, etching, and basic collagraph processes. Perfect for beginners, this class provides a foundation in intaglio printmaking and encourages creativity through one of the most well-known forms of printmaking.
