Advanced Mountain Bike Adventure Camp Take your mountain biking to the next level with Velo Kids! In partnership with Ottawa County Parks, this adventure-based camp is for kids entering grades 5th–10th who are ready to tackle more advanced challenges on the trails. With separate advanced groups for girls and boys, participants will focus on refining their skills, building confidence, and mastering technical trail features. Using a proven curriculum, campers will work on advanced techniques such as climbing steep hills, navigating tight turns and roots, steering through technical terrain, perfecting body placement, and shifting gears at just the right time. This camp is ideal for riders who have prior trail experience and are ready for a fun, supportive environment to push their limits. What to Bring: A positive attitude! A helmet and a functioning mountain bike with gears and front suspension. Don’t have one? Borrow from our Bike Library! (Contact emily@velo-kids.org if a bike or helmet is needed.) The ability to comfortably ride 10+ miles. Previous experience riding local mountain bike trails. A backpack to carry your own water and snack.
