We’ve been hosting classes at the Hermosa Pier for over 25 years!
Besides learning / improving your skills, its a great way to meet people while getting in some cardio.

Beginner: Whether you haven’t touched a ball since middle school, or just need to brush up on fundamentals, this class is for you! First we’ll get you used to running and jumping in the sand, so be ready for a little cardio. Then we’ll focus most of the sessions on ball control – passing, serving and setting, so when you’re done with class you’re able to play in a game of 4’s. BONUS – you’re sure to make a lot of new friends as we all go out after class.

Intermediate: This class is for the player who wants to improve on their ball control and take their game to the next level. Some basic skills work but much of the class will be devoted to learning more advanced skills like hitting, hand setting, side out strategies, and defense. We’ll also do some speed, jump and cardio training. You must be able to pass and serve consistently to enter this class. After drills/skills, all levels have open play. You'll meet great people, and get in a workout.

Advanced: This class is taught by Olympian/All American Brook Billings and is for those who want to significantly accelerate their skill level and gain a CBVA rating. The best instructors on the beach will provide skill and drill training that the top pros use. Hand setting, shots/hitting, defensive/blocking strategies, plyos/jump training, and more, are all wrapped into this class. Many from this class have gone on to win CBVA tournaments. After drills/skills, all levels have open play.
