This class is where that photo finally becomes a painting. Over four weeks, we'll learn how to look at a landscape photograph the way a painter does: through light and dark, not just color. You'll start with a monochromatic underpainting — a single-color foundation that builds the value structure of your scene before any other color is added. It's a technique that changes how you see every painting you make from here on out. You'll leave with a finished watercolor landscape painted from your own photo — and the skills to do it again on your own.
