Using vibrant dyes and a variety of color and design techniques, students will create two hand-painted silk scarves—a 21" x 21" square scarf and an 11" x 60" scarf—to wear, display, or give as thoughtful handmade gifts. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, beginners will learn the fundamentals of painting on silk, while more experienced artists will have the opportunity to explore advanced techniques and creative experimentation. Each session includes group demonstrations followed by time to develop individual designs.
