When you're outdoors, professional medical help may not be close by. Our Wilderness First Aid course teaches essential skills for recognizing and responding to injuries and medical emergencies in environments where help may be delayed.

Designed for scouts, scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who spends time in remote or outdoor settings, this comprehensive course prepares participants to handle a variety of emergencies when every second counts.

This 16-hour course is held over two days and includes Red Cross Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Participants must attend both days to complete the course and receive certification.

You will receive a welcome letter 3-4 days before the start of the program with detailed information about what to bring, where the program is, and more.
Wilderness First Aid Cancellation Policy: Due to the advance purchase of course materials and certification access codes from the American Red Cross, cancellation for the Wilderness First Aid course are subject to the following refund policy:

• 15 or more days before the course: Full refund
• 8-14 days before the course: 50% refund
• Within 8 days of the course: No refund

Hiking Hound Adventures Weather Policy: Our courses and trips happen rain or shine. Please remember to dress for the weather and be prepared to embrace the adventure. In the event that the weather poses a serious hazard, we will make a go/no go decision onsite, at the time of the event.
