Team Mission Statement:

The Haslett Community Swim Club program is dedicated to fostering an environment where athletes of diverse skill levels can learn the sport of competitive swimming. Our skilled coaching staff provides a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for all athletes, so each swimmer can achieve their personal goals in the pool and enjoy swimming for a lifetime. Our focus is that, through excellence in the pool, the competitive swimming experience can be a catalyst for developing life skills such as self-discipline, dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Silver Group Description:
The Silver group is the intermediate training group of the Seahawks program. Practices are focused on swimming, with occasional dry-land training.

The minimum requirements are the demonstrated ability to swim freestyle and backstroke for 100 yards continuously, breaststroke or butterfly for 50 yards continuously, and to perform a forward start.

The focus is on improving skills in the four competitive strokes, starts, and turns, and on understanding how to train appropriately for competition.

If you have not swam with the Seahawks or were previously in the Bronze group, you must have a coach's evaluation/approval on the first day of a session to sign up for this group.
