This class is for individuals who have experience with the Zentangle Method, an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and enjoyable way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It can increase focus and creativity, provide artistic satisfaction, and provide an increased sense of personal well-being. The Zentangle Method is enjoyed worldwide by people of all skill levels, interests, and ages. "More Zentangles" will briefly review the concepts involved in creating Zentangle, and then participants will explore the endless possibilities of "tangling" through an exploration of different tangles, shading and the use of color in their designs. Various tile sizes, shapes, and media will be introduced.
Supply fee of $5 payable to instructor at class
The Supply Fee Kit includes 3 Zentangle tiles (100% cotton, heavy-weight fine artists' paper) Black Sakura Pigma Micron 05 Pen, Mini Zentangle Graphite Pencil, Tortillon. Materials from the Supply Kit will be used throughout the classes and the instructor will provide additional materials at no charge.
Dorothy Hughes Engelman is a CZT, Certified Zentangle Teacher, and has been practicing this non-representational, meditative drawing method since the beginning of the pandemic. She is a member of the Lansing Women Artists Collective, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, and the Mid-Michigan Art Guild.
