About this event
This theoretical course provides 150 of the 600 classroom hours required for eligibility to sit for the Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensing exam. Based on the Mike Holt Level 1 curriculum and the Massachusetts Electrical Code, the course introduces electrical apprentices to foundational topics including jobsite and electrical safety, the National Electrical Code, electrical theory, basic math, bonding and grounding, low voltage systems, controls, circuits, and related code concepts. Taught by experienced industry professionals, Electrical Journeyman Code and Theory Level 1 helps students build the classroom foundation needed to continue through the required levels of journeyman electrical education. Enrollment is open to students who are currently employed by a licensed electrician, allowing classroom instruction to connect with supervised hands on experience in the electrical trade.
