This class is designed for students that have mastered the basics of their chosen mediums (acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache, etc.) to elevate their painting skills through genre painting. The class will explore topics such as composition strategies, developing ideas, and creating source material. Transferring images to the ground and finishing and displaying paintings while completing still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. Students should come prepared with the basic knowledge and be reasonably comfortable using their chosen medium and should be familiar with basic color theory. The focus of this class is to expand their painting skills in their chosen medium.
