Students will learn how to create depth, movement, and balance while working intuitively and expressively. Through guided exercises and demonstrations, students will explore composition, color relationships, spatial depth, and visual flow. Instruction focuses on guiding the viewer’s eye, building layered surfaces, and creating dynamic compositions that feel intentional rather than random. Students will work with a combination of materials, including paint, ink, pencil, and mixed media techniques. Individual guidance will be provided based on each student’s experience level. This class is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced artists looking to strengthen composition and expand their creative process.
