Instructor: Kristen Sullivan Skill Level: Beginner, Any Level Ages: 14+ Medium: Design Total Class Hours: 10 hours Description: The design fundamentals class will present foundational visual concepts as a soft, yet intensive, introduction to professional art forms such as architecture, interior design, and graphic design. The instructor will present integral design principles, such as scale, rhythm, texture, balance, repetition, symmetry, etc., provide examples found in architecture & interior design (as well as other art forms), and lead a hands-on art studio, where students will be encouraged to illustrate the principles through the creation of their own, unique art pieces. The purpose of this class is to challenge students to think creatively and to provide the foundation for beginning to view the world through a personal design lens.
