Instructor: Bill Barrick Skill Level: Any Level Ages: 12+ Medium: Drawing Total Class Hours: 8 Description: Put away your camera, loosen up, and learn how to capture the urban landscape with playful watercolor sketches. For beginners through the professional, this class is a must for lovers of Architecture, travelers, urban explorers, and stale artists. Perspective basics, composition, choosing a viewpoint, how to fake details, how to suggest building materials and foliage, capturing the gestures of individuals and crowds, even cars. Most importantly, you will learn how to loosen up while acquiring a free and mindful style all your own. Day one will be in the classroom with structured lessons. On day two, we’ll hit the streets with a combination of directed and “on your own” sketching. Plenty of demonstrations, one-on-one instruction, and a strong dose of encouragement. Social time is a bonus! Please bring the following supplies: Sketchbook, 0.1 and 0.5 Fine Line Illustration Black Marker (Mater’s Touch), 2B Pencil, and Eraser Registration will close on June 3.
