Instructor: Terry Trambauer Norris Skill Level: All Levels Ages: 15+ Medium: Oil Paint Total Class Hours: 15 hours Description: Join us to learn to represent a three-dimensional form on a two-dimensional surface using color. The student learns to see the colors of the visible world in a different way than humans have been conditioned to see. They will practice seeing in the way of the painter by perceiving, mixing, and arranging colors to create a vibrant, light-filled image that also conveys depth and solidity. Using simple objects as models, this method brings new life and beauty to ordinary objects and expands the mind toward greater creativity and expression. There will be a demonstration of the method and some color mixing exercises to begin. This class is for all levels, especially beginners. All materials are provided. The work is done in oils, but the content applies to all painting media. The course is suitable for students ages 15 and up.
